Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead people functions: recruiting, hiring, coaching, performance reviews, scheduling, and succession planning.
• Build open-door culture, respond to associate feedback, and recognize top performers.
• Deliver outstanding pet parent experiences in-store, online, and via phone; resolve escalations.
• Ensure store safety for associates, pets, and customers; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews.
• Manage inventory, operations, and compliance with policies and ethics.
• Collaborate on events, community partnerships, and adoption groups.

Experience & Skills

Seeking leaders with 3+ years retail management, proven team-building, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Strong communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills essential. Experience in pet retail preferred.
