Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build open-door culture and respond to feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; lead events and community partnerships; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Operations & Financials: Maintain inventory levels; communicate objectives; prioritize safety and compliance; evaluate processes for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, and operational acumen. Pet care passion is a plus. Must excel in delegation, conflict resolution, and driving results in a fast-paced environment.

- Ensure exceptional pet parent service and resolve escalated concerns
- Manage inventory, scheduling, and compliance with policies and procedures
- Conduct store walks, camera reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
