Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service, efficient execution, and targeted business outcomes in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with high engagement.
  • Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; maintain compliance and inventory standards.
  • Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; partner on events and community initiatives.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and HR, expertise in customer service and operations, financial acumen, and a passion for pets.
