Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; lead pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze metrics, communicate objectives, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in P&L management, customer service, and team motivation. Flexibility for days, nights, and weekends is essential.
