Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving targeted results, exceptional service, and efficient daily execution in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; conduct reviews, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances to build an engaged team.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health, deliver outstanding pet parent service across channels, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and oversee opening/closing procedures.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, communicate objectives, review security footage for coaching, and collaborate on events with adoption partners.
