Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, and oversee inventory compliance.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute corporate strategies for profitability, communicate objectives, and partner on events like adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, and passion for pets. Key skills include team motivation, operational execution, customer obsession, data-driven decision-making, and adaptability in dynamic retail environments. Pet industry experience is a plus.

- Conduct store walks, camera reviews, and safety audits
