Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive PetSmart's culture and strategies, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; resolve concerns; lead events and adoption partnerships; conduct safety walks and compliance checks.
- Business Management: Analyze metrics and root causes; execute strategies for profitability; manage inventory; communicate objectives; monitor cameras for risk assessment.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, financial oversight, and operations. Passion for pets, strong communication, and flexibility for varied shifts required. HR experience in performance management and conflict resolution a plus.
