Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Based in Charlotte, North Carolina, you'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and associate development to build high-engagement teams.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, events, and compliance via monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability by analyzing performance, optimizing inventory, communicating objectives, and adapting to business needs.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in team building and customer service, financial acumen, and a passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and fostering an open-door culture.
