Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding our vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, terminations; build open-door culture; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, onboarding, and succession planning; recognize achievements.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy pets and positive experiences; respond to concerns; improve processes; conduct Core and Services Walks; manage inventory and safety via camera reviews; oversee opening/closing.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; cascade objectives; partner on events and adoptions; maintain policy compliance.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership, pet care knowledge, and skills in team development, customer service, financial oversight, and operational execution. Passion for pets and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment required.
