Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, deliver exceptional service, and execute strategies to meet business goals while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions, conduct compliance walks, and oversee events with adoption partners.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, drive profitability, maintain inventory, review security footage, and respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, proven team leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry passion. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and fostering engagement in dynamic environments.
