Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving targeted results through exceptional service and efficient execution.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; foster engagement via feedback tools; deliver reviews and recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; manage customer interactions; conduct compliance walks; oversee inventory and camera reviews; handle sick pets and emergencies.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; partner on events and adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, pet industry knowledge, financial acumen, and a passion for customer service. Must excel in delegation, problem-solving, and maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
