Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and build an engaging open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead customer interactions, events, and compliance with monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability, manage inventory, and prioritize safety for associates, pets, and customers.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, proven team leadership, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and fostering high engagement in fast-paced settings. Experience with HR functions, inventory tools, and customer-centric operations is essential.
