Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values, driving targeted results through exceptional service and efficient execution in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, monitor cameras, and maintain inventory standards.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics, communicate objectives, and lead events with community partners like adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and motivation, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge.
