Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive results, and foster an exceptional environment while ensuring compliance and team empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, deliver reviews, and build engagement through recognition and feedback.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, and prioritize a safe, compliant store environment.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events and community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume settings, and passion for pets. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, customer obsession, financial acumen, and adaptability to dynamic retail demands.
