Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure pet safety and health; maintain store standards; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; manage events and inventory.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; prioritize safety and compliance.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, pet care knowledge, and adaptability to dynamic environments. Passion for pets and proven ability to inspire teams required.
