Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze metrics, communicate objectives, and partner on events with local adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong team-building skills, financial acumen, and a pet-loving spirit. Proficiency in operations, customer service, and compliance is essential, along with flexibility for varied schedules.
