Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion superior service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, reviews, training, and succession planning. Build an open-door culture, address grievances, and boost engagement through recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe environments for associates, pets, and customers. Manage pet parent interactions, conduct monthly walks, oversee inventory, review cameras for safety, and collaborate on events.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability by executing strategies, analyzing performance, communicating objectives, and optimizing processes for continuous improvement.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, operational execution, and fostering a positive culture.
