Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; build an open-door culture and address grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions across channels; ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews for compliance.
- Operations & Finance: Manage inventory, communicate objectives, evaluate processes for improvement, and partner on events with adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Seeking proven retail leaders with strong people management, customer service, and operational skills. Passion for pets, ability to delegate, and experience in HR functions like hiring and performance management required. Must prioritize safety, drive engagement, and adapt to dynamic retail environments.
