Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial outcomes, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and associates; manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, and maintain inventory standards.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, execute corporate strategies, and collaborate on events and community partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and P&L management. Key skills include delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and pet safety knowledge. Must thrive in dynamic environments with flexible scheduling.
