Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive results, and build a high-performing team in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; foster open communication and engagement through reviews, recognition, and succession planning.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver outstanding customer service, resolve concerns, and maintain compliance via monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, manage inventory, analyze performance, and lead events with adoption partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer focus, financial acumen, and a love for pets. Key skills include team building, operational execution, conflict resolution, and data-driven decision-making. Experience in pet retail is a plus.
