Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, recognition, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks; oversee inventory and compliance.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze metrics; execute corporate strategies; review cameras for safety; partner on events and adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include team building, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and adaptability to flexible schedules.
