Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding customer service; conduct monthly walks; maintain compliance; manage inventory and events; prioritize safety for associates, pets, and customers.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; review cameras for coaching; handle pet emergencies and store procedures.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial accountability. Key skills include effective delegation, problem-solving, pet care knowledge, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexible scheduling is essential.
