Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; build an open-door culture; manage scheduling, reviews, and engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver outstanding pet parent service; conduct compliance walks and monitor safety via cameras.
- Business Management: Analyze performance, execute strategies for profitability, maintain inventory, and communicate objectives to drive results.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge. Key skills include team motivation, operational efficiency, conflict resolution, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility for varied shifts is essential.
