Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; foster open-door culture, deliver reviews, and boost engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding pet parent service in-store, online, and via phone; conduct Core & Services Walks; prioritize safety and compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; manage inventory; analyze performance; lead events and community partnerships; review cameras for coaching.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial oversight. Passion for pets, strong decision-making, and adaptability to dynamic environments required. Flexible scheduling essential.
