Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews, foster engagement, and handle grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain standards via monthly walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for accountability.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events/adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financials. Key skills include delegation, problem-solving, pet passion, and adaptability in a fast-paced pet retail setting. Experience with safety protocols and community engagement is ideal.
