Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, performance reviews, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate interactions; ensure pet safety and health; conduct compliance walks; manage inventory and events; review security footage for coaching.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance metrics; communicate objectives; optimize processes for efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and expertise in sales driving, team motivation, and operational excellence. Proficiency in financial analysis, compliance, and customer-centric problem-solving is essential.
