Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and efficient daily execution in our Duluth location.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, deliver reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; monitor cameras for compliance; manage openings/closings.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; maintain inventory; partner on events and adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, and skills in P&L management, team motivation, and customer escalation resolution. Flexibility for varied shifts is essential.
