Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store operations, team performance, pet parent satisfaction, financial outcomes, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, driving results while fostering a positive environment for associates, pets, and customers in a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, reviews, and engagement via open-door culture and feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; deliver outstanding customer service; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze performance; maintain inventory and oversee openings/closings.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in retail management, proven leadership in team building and sales growth, strong problem-solving for operations and customer issues, and passion for pets.
