Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving targeted results, exceptional service, and efficient daily execution in our Easton location.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with recognition and feedback response.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; oversee inventory, events, and compliance.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance metrics; review cameras for safety; handle openings/closings and vet transports as needed.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet industry knowledge, financial acumen, and expertise in team motivation. Proficiency in operations, customer service, and compliance is essential. Must thrive in dynamic settings with flexible scheduling.
