Role Overview

The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.

Key Responsibilities

• People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with recognition and feedback response.
• Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions across channels; ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; conduct Core and Services Walks; manage inventory and compliance.
• Operations & Financials: Drive efficient execution, community events, and sales goals; review cameras for safety; communicate objectives and adapt to changes.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume environments, pet care passion, and skills in team motivation, conflict resolution, and data-driven decisions. Proficiency in HR tools, scheduling, and customer escalation handling is essential.
