Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. Drive company culture, achieve targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, develop associates, conduct reviews, and foster engagement through recognition and open communication.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; resolve concerns; lead events; maintain standards via monthly walks and camera reviews.
- Operations & Finance: Manage inventory, communicate objectives, evaluate processes for improvement, and prioritize safety/compliance.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, and pet industry knowledge. Must excel in delegation, conflict resolution, financial oversight, and creating positive cultures. Passion for pets and commitment to safety required.
