Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, performance reviews, scheduling, and fostering an open-door culture with associate feedback and recognition.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions; conduct compliance walks; oversee inventory and events.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze metrics, communicate objectives, review security footage, and respond to pet health issues.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, financial oversight, and pet safety. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making. Passion for pets and community engagement is essential.
