Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, reviews, and succession planning. Foster an open-door culture, recognize achievements, and resolve grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain standards via monthly walks, manage inventory, and oversee opening/closing procedures.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events with adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, and a passion for pets.
