Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct monthly walks, manage inventory, review cameras for compliance, and prioritize safe environments.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team leadership, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, conflict resolution, pet care knowledge, and the ability to empower teams in a fast-paced environment. Experience with P&L, scheduling, and compliance is essential.
