Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, strategies, and values while delivering exceptional service and efficient execution to meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; handle concerns; lead events and compliance walks; manage inventory and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze metrics and root causes; communicate objectives; oversee opening/closing procedures.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Must thrive in dynamic environments, delegate effectively, and prioritize safety/compliance. Flexible availability required.
