Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive results, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions; ensure pet safety and health; maintain store standards; conduct monthly walks and camera reviews; manage events and inventory.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; prioritize safety and compliance.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, and operational acumen. Key skills include team building, financial oversight, conflict resolution, and a passion for pets. Experience in pet retail is a plus.
