Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure efficient daily execution while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, maintain standards, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and oversee opening/closing procedures.
- Business Management: Execute corporate strategies for profitability, analyze performance metrics, communicate objectives, and implement process improvements.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in high-volume environments, proficiency in financial analysis, and a passion for pets.
