Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent and associate experiences; ensure pet safety; resolve concerns; conduct monthly walks; maintain standards, inventory, and safety protocols; manage openings/closings.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze metrics; execute strategies; partner on events and adoptions; monitor cameras for coaching.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry passion.
