Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key results, and deliver exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open communication and engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead customer interactions; conduct compliance walks; manage inventory and events; prioritize safety via camera reviews and incident response.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; optimize processes for efficiency.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and pet industry knowledge.
