Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial performance, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while delivering targeted results through efficient execution and team empowerment in our vibrant Fort Myers location.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, conduct reviews, and foster an open-door culture with engagement tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, and oversee inventory compliance.
- Business Management: Analyze performance metrics, execute corporate strategies, drive profitability, and collaborate on events like adoption partnerships.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team leadership, customer service, financial oversight, and pet care. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Passion for pets and community involvement is essential.
