Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, drive targeted outcomes, and ensure exceptional service while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; build an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, conduct safety walks, manage inventory, and review cameras for compliance.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance data, communicate objectives, and partner on community events.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 5+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, and operations. Key skills include financial acumen, problem-solving, delegation, and a pet-loving mindset. Must thrive in dynamic environments with flexible scheduling.
