Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager provides leadership oversight for store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values while driving exceptional service and efficient execution in a fast-paced pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people functions: recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, reviews, and associate engagement.
- Deliver outstanding store experience: manage pet parent interactions, ensure pet safety, and resolve concerns.
- Optimize operations: conduct safety walks, manage inventory, review cameras, and uphold policies.
- Drive results: communicate objectives, improve processes, and partner on community events.
- Prioritize safety for associates, pets, and customers; handle welfare issues promptly.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, financial savvy, and passion for pets. Must excel in customer service, conflict resolution, and fostering high-performance cultures. Experience in pet retail is a plus.
