Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive oversight of store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, mission, and values, fostering a high-performing team that delivers exceptional service and achieves business goals in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; manage schedules, performance reviews, and succession planning while building an open-door culture.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead customer interactions, resolve concerns, and maintain a positive environment through policy compliance and monthly store walks.
- Business Management: Drive profitability by analyzing metrics, managing inventory, executing strategies, and monitoring safety via cameras and protocols.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management experience, strong leadership in team building and development, expertise in customer service and operations, and a passion for pets.
