Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key targets, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules, facilitate reviews, and build an open-door culture using Voice of Associate feedback.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety and health; lead pet parent interactions; conduct Core and Services Walks; review cameras for safety; manage events and compliance.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals; analyze performance; optimize inventory; communicate objectives; respond to business changes.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, expertise in team building, customer service, operations, and financial oversight. Key skills include delegation, mentoring, problem-solving, and pet care knowledge. Must prioritize safety, embrace flexibility, and inspire high engagement.
