Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive PetSmart's culture, strategies, and vision while delivering exceptional service and achieving key business targets in a dynamic pet retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Handle recruiting, hiring, coaching, scheduling, performance reviews, and associate engagement to build high-performing teams.
- Store Experience: Ensure pet safety, resolve customer concerns, maintain standards through walks and audits, and foster a positive environment.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, manage inventory, analyze performance, and lead events with community partners.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of retail management, strong leadership in team development and customer service, pet industry knowledge, and skills in operations, financial oversight, and adaptability. Passion for pets and ability to inspire teams are essential.
