Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's culture, achieve key targets, deliver exceptional service, and execute daily business efficiently while upholding our vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and high engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; lead pet parent interactions; conduct safety walks; manage inventory and compliance; partner on events.
- Business Management: Drive profitability through strategic execution; analyze performance metrics; communicate objectives; review security footage for coaching.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include operational excellence, customer service mastery, HR proficiency, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. Experience in pet retail preferred.
