Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion exceptional service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; handle reviews, grievances, and engagement initiatives.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, events, compliance walks, inventory, and safety protocols.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance, optimize processes, communicate objectives, and partner with leadership for store success.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, strong leadership to build high-performing teams, customer service expertise, financial acumen, and passion for pets. Key skills include effective delegation, conflict resolution, data-driven decision-making, and adaptability in a fast-paced retail setting. Flexible scheduling is essential.
