Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides leadership oversight for safety, pet parent experience, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve targets, champion service, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, and develop associates; create schedules; facilitate reviews, training, and succession planning; foster open-door culture and engagement.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets and people; deliver exceptional service; manage inventory, events, and compliance; conduct safety walks and camera reviews.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability; analyze performance; communicate objectives; respond to market changes.
Experience & Skills
Seeking leaders with 3+ years in retail management, strong team-building skills, customer focus, operational expertise, and financial acumen. Pet care passion is a plus. Must excel in delegation, problem-solving, and creating positive environments.
