Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, financial results, and HR functions. You'll champion PetSmart's vision, drive targeted outcomes, and build an exceptional store environment while ensuring compliance and team empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, and develop associates; conduct reviews, foster engagement, and handle grievances.
- Store Experience: Lead pet parent service, ensure pet safety, conduct audits, manage inventory, and oversee openings/closings.
- Business Management: Execute strategies for profitability, analyze performance, communicate objectives, and partner on events/adoptions.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in retail management, strong leadership, customer focus, financial acumen, and pet passion. Key skills include team building, operational execution, problem-solving, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours.
