Role Overview
The Retail Store Manager (Store Leader) provides comprehensive leadership over store safety, pet parent experiences, operations, finances, and HR functions. You'll drive company culture, achieve key results, champion service excellence, and execute daily business while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, hire, coach, schedule, mentor, and develop associates; foster open communication and high engagement through recognition and feedback tools.
- Store Experience: Ensure safe, healthy environments for pets, associates, and customers; manage pet parent interactions, conduct safety walks, monitor cameras, and maintain inventory compliance.
- Business Management: Deliver profitability goals, analyze performance metrics, execute strategies, and lead events with community partners like adoption groups.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in retail management, strong leadership, financial expertise, and a passion for pets. Key skills include team empowerment, process optimization, conflict resolution, and adaptability to dynamic retail environments. Flexible availability is essential.

- Drive exceptional customer service and resolve escalated pet parent concerns
